Submitting a Website
Abacus Construction Index, founded in 2000, is a well established
and popular source of guidance for people purchasing building products in the
USA and the UK. It receives over 75,000 unique visitors per month, and its front
page has a Google Page Rank of 7.
We are always pleased to consider websites for inclusion. No payment is sought or accepted from included websites, but since November 7th 2008 the following policy has been in effect for newly submitted websites:
a. The website must represent a manufacturer or supplier of building products for the US or UK markets, and must be judged by us to be of good quality. We make this judgement on the basis of content and clarity.
b. The front page of the website must have a Google Page Rank of at least 2. If you are in doubt, we can inform you of the Google Page Rank of the front page of your website.
c. The website must be willing, if selected for inclusion in Abacus Construction Index, to insert the following wording at the bottom of its front page: 'This website is recommended by Abacus Construction Index'. The words Abacus Construction Index must be a link, which Google can follow, to http://www.construction-index.com. Alternatively, the website may add this link to another page in its website, provided that page has a Google Page Rank of at least 4 and has no more than 20 external links on the page.
d. Websites conforming to this new submission policy will be listed on up to three relevant product pages at the top of the listing of Leading Manufacturers, in alphabetical order of company name, with their name in bold type.
