ABOUT BUILT UP FELT ROOFING

Built up felt roofing can be used on flat, sloping and pitched roofs. For example, Marley supply built up felt roofing systems based on fibre felts. This built up felt roofing system comprises underlayers, top layers and a green mineral cap sheet. Elastomeric built up roofing, also supplied by Marley, is a two or three layer system.

The built up roofing system comprises underlay, top layer, and cap sheets in a selection of mineralised finishes. Elastomeric built up roofing membranes have improved resistance to tear compared to traditional roofing felts. For domestic applications, Marley supply a range of trade roofing felts, including shed felt, trade under felt, trade topfelt, nail prep felt and venting base layer.
