ABOUT CONCRETE KERBS

Basic concrete kerbs are manufactured using hydraulic pressing. Concrete kerbs are available in straight lengths, typically 914mm or 600mm long. Concrete kerbs are also available in concave and convex curved form, at various radii. Conservation concrete kerbs have a textured surface finish, and are available in various colours.

Specialist concrete kerbs include 'high containment' concrete kerb which has a high concave section. High containment concrete kerb is designed to re-direct vehicles onto their intended path, and to protect vulnerable areas adjacent to the concrete kerb. The splayed lower profile of the concrete kerb allows vehicles to ride up the kerb, compressing the suspension and diverting the vehicle back to the carriageway.
