Basic concrete kerbs are manufactured using hydraulic pressing. Concrete kerbs are available in straight lengths, typically 914mm or 600mm long. Concrete kerbs are also available in concave and convex curved form, at various radii. Conservation concrete kerbs have a textured surface finish, and are available in various colours.
Specialist concrete kerbs include 'high containment' concrete kerb which has a high concave section. High containment concrete kerb is designed to re-direct vehicles onto their intended path, and to protect vulnerable areas adjacent to the concrete kerb. The splayed lower profile of the concrete kerb allows vehicles to ride up the kerb, compressing the suspension and diverting the vehicle back to the carriageway.

Marshalls conservation kerb, 255mm wide x 205mm high, meets the demand from planning authorities for a wider section kerb system of similar proportions to traditional natural granite kerbs. The kerb height of 205mm allows sufficient depth for installation purposes whilst maintaining an adequate upstand. The system comprises a wide range of kerb types and also includes a special drop kerb configuration with 1:18 gradient to meet the recommendations of the Highways Agency for pedestrian crossing points. Further design flexibility can be gained by using the straight and radius kerbs to form step features. Marshalls conservation kerb is available as: straight kerbs, radius kerbs, quadrant kerbs, and drop kerbs. It is available in Silver Grey, Harvest Buff or Charcoal.
