ABOUT CONCRETE ROOF TILES

Concrete plain and interlocking roof tiles are the cheapest visually acceptable pitched-roof covering. Plain, feature double-lap, and interlocking concrete roof tiles are made to a range of designs which imitate traditional clay tile forms.

Plain concrete roof tiles can be used on pitches down to 35 degrees, while ornamental tiles can be used for vertical hanging and for pitches down to 70 degrees. Standard interlocking concrete roof tiles can be used in some cases on pitches of 17.5 degrees, with the concrete roof tiles being laid to broken bond. A limited range of polymer-surfaced interlocking concrete roof tiles can be laid to pitches as low as 12.5 degrees, provided that all the tiles are clipped to prevent wind lift. The range of colours for concrete roof tiles includes granular and through colour finishes.
