ABOUT COPINGS
Copings are provided to protect the top surface of a parapet or free standing wall from deterioration by weathering. Weathering is a particularly serious risk when bricks become saturated with water and are then struck with frost. The frost expansion can cause the bricks to split and powder. Wall copings may be of brick or stone, or may take the form of metal or plastic strips.
Brick copings are available in a wide range of brick types, to match the brick wall. They may be flat, angled, or semi-circular in section.
