ABOUT OAK DOORS
Oak doors are generally made to order, from either new or reclaimed oak. They are particularly appropriate for period properties, and standard designs are in traditional style. If well maintained they have an extremely long life, and add greatly to the character of a historic property. High quality oak doors are made with mortice and tenon joints, giving great strength and long life.
The following UK suppliers of oak doors have comprehensive and informative websites, with information on types of oak doors, fittings for oak doors, and installation and maintenance of oak doors.
