Elliott Group is a leading supplier of prefabricated buildings. An example of its work is the building for aircrew at Southampton Airport. This is made up of thirty nine prefabricated units, stacked in three floors. Silver cladding sheets the external walls, to provide continuity of appearance. The double glazed windows have solar louvres, and a lift provides disabled access. Noise reduction was a particular concern in an airport location, and the building reduces external noise by 49 decibels.
