Stretch ceilings, sometimes known as taut ceilings, are tensile membranes, connected at the edges of the space, which form a ceiling finish.

Inscape is a leading supplier of stretch ceilings, supplying the NewMat system. Its stretch ceilings have three parts: suspension system, suspension anchors, and stretch sheeting. The suspension system is make of aluminium or UPVC, and is fixed at intervals to the walls. The suspension anchor is a semi-rigid frame which is attached around the perimeter of the sheet with high frequency soldering. The stretch sheeting is make up by soldering together sheets, normally 1.5 or 2.2 metres wide, of synthetic fabric.
