ABOUT SUN AWNINGS
Sun awnings consist of fabric covers attached to a roller and a rigid front strut, usually made of aluminium. Hinged arms support the front rigid edge; these may be manually or electrically operated. The more advanced types of sun awning enclose the fully rolled cover in a cassette, when the awning is retracted. This reduces the effects of weather, and wear and tear, on the fabric.
