ABOUT VANITY UNITS

High pressure laminate (HPL), sometimes known under the brand name Formica, is a good vanity surfacing material offering years of use at a reasonable price. HPL vanity units are made from 18mm WBP plywood, faced with laminate on one side. The front of the unit can be made in a selection of edge profiles and the rear edge of the vanity unit can be built up to form an integral coved upstand / splash back.

Solid grade laminate, normally 12mm thick, is the most durable vanity surfacing available for vanity tops. Being highly resistant to water and vandalism, vanity units made from SGL are suited to tough environments such as schools and leisure centres. The leading edge of the vanity unit is offered in a selection of vanity unit profiles, including a postformed option with integral coved upstand.
