Bay Windows are self-supporting windows, which protrude out from the face of the building. They are normally constructed of a combination of wood and vinyl. They may be shallow, with the side panels being at an angle of 10 degrees to the face of the building. They may protrude more boldly, with side panels at 30 degrees or 45 degrees to the face of the building. They may also be rectangular in plan, with the side panels at 90 degrees to the face of the building.
