ABOUT FOAM INSULATION
Foam insulation is usually supplied as a two-part product. When these two parts are combined in a special spray gun, the volume of the produce increases a hundredfold. As it expands if fills every crack, crevice, and void in wall or ceiling panel, providing a complete airtight seal. This cuts down both energy consumption and noise transmission.
In addition to normal household insulation, foam insulation can be used in many industrial applications. These include heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, cold storage, and truck, bus and recreation vehicles.

The following leading foam insulation manufacturers have comprehensive websites, with information on all aspects of foam insulation, including online catalogs, materials for foam insulation, and advice on the installation of foam insulation.
Versi-Foam. Versi-Foam is manufactured by RHH Foam Systems Inc, based in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Versi-Foam is a two-component disposable polyurethane foam dispensing system. It can be used as insulation, sound proofing, sound deadening, condensation control, sealant, caulking material and void fill. Applications include construction, heating ventilation & air conditioning, cold storage, plant and facilities maintenance, roofing, truck, trailer, bus and recreational vehicle insulation, marine flotation and insulation, pool and spa insulation, and stage and film props and special effects.
BioBased. BioBased operates from Rogers, Arizona. Its foam insulation is made from soybean oil, an annually renewable resource. When BioBased foam insulation is installed into walls, ceilings and floors it quickly expands to 100 times its original size, filling every crack and crevice and void. The foam insulation creates a sealed thermal envelope, keeping conditioned air inside and unconditioned air outside. It also achieves reduction in noise pollution. Biobased foam insulation contains no irritating micro fibers or organic dust particulates. Biobased foam insulation is an inert thermo set plastic foam; it will not support mold growth and is not a food source for vermin.
Icynene. Icynene, based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, is a leading manufacturer of environmentally freindly foam insulation. It was established in 1986 to develop a foam insulation that would become a leading Green product in the construction industry. The Icynene Insulation System is a water-blown, spray-in-place light-density expanding foam that completely seals the building envelope. This allows control of air movement and moisture within walls. It is used in a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial applications. It can be used with all types of construction material, including wood, steel, masonry, and concrete.
