USA: Gas Fireplaces: Gas Fireplace Manufacturers
ABOUT GAS FIREPLACES
Gas fireplaces are available as inserts or as complete gas fireplaces. In both cases artificial logs or coal produce a realistic flaming fire effect, but with the convenience of gas. For greater realism, some models employ a 'dancing flame' effect, which rises and falls to imitate a real fire. Others allow remote control of the flame height, with as many as seven flame profile options.
Some models are essentially decorative. Others can provide worthwhile heat, particularly when combined with a fan.
Gas fireplaces may be placed within existing fireplaces with chimneys, or may be fitted against any outside wall, with a direct vent to the outside. They may operate with either natural or bottled propane gas.

Kozy Heat gas fireplaces feature a 'dancing flame' effect, and detailed hand-painted logs, for greater realism. The Jackson XL Insert produces 36,000 BTH per hour.
