USA: Modular Buildings: Modular Building Manufacturers
ABOUT MODULAR BUILDINGS
Modular buildings are manufactured in the factory, and delivered to site in modules, typically about the size of a shipping container. Modular buildings are typically factory fitted with internal finishes, bathroom and kitchen fittings, electrical wiring, and even carpets.
Larger modular buildings can be formed by joining modules horizontally, and by stacking them two or more floors deep. They can be provided with an external cladding which gives the appearance of a traditionally constructed building.
The main advantages of modular buildings are that they can be delivered much more quickly than a traditional building, and costs can be predicted with complete confidence. They can also provide a very high quality internal finish, because finishing work is done in controlled factory conditions.
