ABOUT OUTDOOR CARPETS
Although outdoor carpets can be made from natural fiber, such as jute or hessian, the overwhelming majority are made from a synthetic polypropylene material such as Olefin. There are three main forms of construction for outdoor carpet: grass, needle punch, and loop. Grass carpet has a grass look, similar to Astroturf. In addition to green, it is available in a range of colors, including bright blue for poolside or marine use.
Needle punch and loop outdoor carpet is made in the same way as indoor carpet and has a similar appearnce, but being 100% polypropylene is entirely impervious to weather. It is available in a wide range of colors and patterns. Outdoor carpet can be cleaned by thorough brooming, by hosing, or by scrubbing.
