ABOUT TANKLESS WATER HEATERS

Conventional gas or electric water heaters heat water in a tank, which is kept continuously hot, and from which the heated water is drawn as required. Tankless water heaters heat the water only as it is drawn off from the cold water supply. This avoids any loss of thermal energy from heated water which is not being used. Manufacturers of tankless water heaters claim that they can save as much as 60% of water heating costs.
