Tiffany Lamps were originally designed in the studio of Louis Comfort Tiffany, the son of Charles Lewis Tiffany, who co-founded the famous New York jewellery store of the same name.

Original Tiffany Lamps are considered to be an important American contribution to the Art Nouveau movement which started in Europe in the late 19th Century.
